Samian Roots

I had no idea what was in store for us in Samos. I expected that we would do some visiting, travel around a bit on the bikes and then jet off to the next island, but the like minds, and many excellent dinners and conversations some how magically seduced us into staying too long.

The sad thing about travelling is having to say good bye to the wonderful personalities that cross into your life, but it is even tougher when those wonderful personalities turn out to be your family! I now understand the absence that Basil has been lamenting all of these years and now will share in his lament. Thank you Giannis, Chryssa, Mirto, and Melina for having us in your home for an unexpected extended stay. You have enriched our lives in ways that we are only just beginning to understand. We are truly sad to leave you and Samos, but so proud to have discovered you as part of our family! We look forward to having you more a part of our lives in the years to come.

Does every male wear a "beater" in Greece? It's nice to see a close up of that creepy looking dude. He's actually kind of good looking up close.
